The 4th Korea-Japan Dysphagia Joint Symposium 2019

Invitation to Attend

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Korean Dysphagia Society and Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 4th Korea-Japan Joint Dysphagia Symposium, to be held at Seoul National University Hospital in Seoul, Korea on November 8 (Fri), 2019.

Since its inception, the Joint Symposium has brought together Korean and Japanese scientists, clinicians, and healthcare providers who are dedicated to the study of swallowing physiology and pathophysiology as well as to the translation of research output into the patient care. Also, the Korean Dysphagia Society is celebrating its 10th Anniversary on the very next day (November-9, 2019) after the joint symposium.

The scientific program committee has put together an exciting symposium to make a more meaningful conference than ever. Professor Reiner Dziewas (University Hospital Münster), the leading investigator of multinational clinical trials of novel treatment of dysphagia, will give an insightful lecture on what is on the horizon. Distinguished speakers from Japan and Korea will cover state-of-the-art topics on dysphagia diagnosis and management. We believe this symposium will provide unique opportunities of collaboration and mentoring. I would like to ask your active participation for the success of this Korea-Japan Joint Symposium. Please also encourage young students and early-career scientists and physicians to participate.

Seoul is capital of Korea, which have deep historical and cultural heritage. In addition, it offers all the possible conveniences and world-class facilities of the international megalopolis it has become today. You will be happy to enjoy the places of traditional culture as well as shopping and entertainment. Getting from Japan to Seoul will be easy, as a flight to Seoul (Gimpo Airport & Incheon International Airport) takes 90 minutes or less from all across Japan.

I look forward to seeing you in Seoul!
